Step 8: Making Amends List
"Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all."
Step 8 is a practice in honesty, empathy, and willingness. It begins the process of repairing relationships — not all at once, but in our hearts first. We begin by making a list. Who have we hurt? Who do we owe an apology, an amends, or a restoration of trust?
🤍 Why Step 8 Matters
This isn’t about groveling or self-blame. It’s about clearing emotional wreckage and preparing to live with integrity. Willingness is the key word here — we don’t need to act yet, only prepare with open hands and a sincere heart.
🧠 Reflection Questions
- Who comes to mind when I think about unresolved harm?
- Have I included myself on this list?
- What fears do I have about making amends?
✍️ Journaling Prompt
